Books by Fernando Vallejo

Colombian author Fernando Vallejo.

I really liked his work Escombros.

That novel provides understanding and a lot of humor about the behavior of some Colombians from the point of view of an old man who had survived two earthquakes.

Consequently, I bought three more of his works to continue reading the same author.

La Virgen de Los Sicarios.

Memorias de un Hijueputa.

La Puta de Babylonia.

I must admit that despite the fact that the author is very knowledgeable and intelligent, the whole of his work is an endless diatribe against certain behaviors he perceives in his compatriots and the Catholic Church.

I became very bored with him. I could not even keep reading La Puta de Babylonia after struggling to read through more than 30 pages itemizing misbehaviours of former popes without any kind explanatory context.

Enough Fernando, we know that you are pissed off with the church and your compatriots. At first it was funny, now it has become boring. Change the subject please.
