How to descale the Keurig K Supreme coffee maker
Descale light is on. We need to clean things up
- Remove the cartridge receptacle for cleaning by pressing up from below.
- Remove the tank, clean it and empty it and replace it.
- While we are at it, clean the coffee stains off all the parts. The golden rule of tech maintenance is clean, clean, clean.
Descale as follows
- Turn off.
- Add 50/50 Vinegar/Water enough for 3 cups to the empty tank.
- with power off press both 8 and 12 buttons simultaneously for 3 seconds.
- With cup to receive water in place, press K, empty the cup. Open and Close, Repeat twice more.
- Empty the tank, replace with clean water.
- Do 3 or more rinse cycles to clean out the vinegar solution.
- If light is still on, unplug and replug after 30 secs
- Done
